Remember those tin lunchboxes everyone had as a kid? They were sturdy little lunch pails that held everything from your sandwich and juice box to your pudding or fruit cup. Sometimes they even had a Fruit-by-the-foot inside, and everything fit together perfectly--a little bit like a well-played game of Tetris.

The Tin Lunchbox (that's us!) does the same thing: We provide a variety of shared information from featured artists and literary endeavors to recipe sharing that all fits flawlessly into one place. Granted, we aren't working with physical  lunchboxes, but it is fun to imagine all the same.

Open Submissions for Food Experience Mini-Mag

Food Experience is a Mini-Mag--a short collection of narratives/creative non-fiction that stems from an event or experience the writer had with food of some kind. We're looking for original content/stories that make us laugh, cry, or gag (a little). Each piece should be no longer than 2,000 words, should have a title, and can be submitted via email.

Mini-Mags will publish fewer pieces than Tin Lunchbox Review, and the submission period is MUCH shorter (only two weeks long!).  If you submit your piece and we don't have room to fit you in, we may ask to use your piece in an upcoming issue. Mini-Mags will also have rotating subjects, so each one can be drastically different than the last!
